The title of the project supported by Global Bridges and Pfizer Independent Grants for Learning and Change is: Strengthening the capacity of health personnel to implement Article 14 of the FCTC in Mexico through advocacy to achieve the most strategic approach to tobacco dependence treatment in the country.

It seeks to support government officials and collaborate with them in convening the main actors in Mexico to carry out tobacco treatment actions to continue developing a national strategy for consensual treatment, to improve the application of Article 14 of the FCTC and to achieve greater impact of the treatment of tobacco dependence in the population of Mexico, based on evidence.

It aims to assist government officials attached to the National Tobacco Control Office in assessing the current status of treatment of tobacco dependence and to help develop a comprehensive policy in accordance with the guidelines of Article 14, working with the state councils focused on addiction and other interested parties.
